         <description><![CDATA[<p>I think that the plants might not "love shade", but rather require less sunlight than other plants. An experiment to prove this would be to place plants in a sunnier location, such as a windowsill, for 15 minutes a day. After one week, if any improvements are made, the time can be increased to note any further increase in revitalization. </p>]]></description>

And group three would be exposed to the same amounts of sun and shade each day. The experiment would last a couple of weeks, and all plants would be put in the same soil and receive the same amount of water. </p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>Our hypothesis is that the shade-loving plants have been affected by the lack of precipitation and too much sunlight due to increased global temperatures. If the plants are not receiving enough time in the shade, they will not flourish. </p><p><br/></p><p>For our experiment, we will keep half of the plants where they are currently located, and we will move half to a more shades area, for example the north side of the garden. We will have to keep all variables except for the amount of shade the same. Same soil, water, temperature, fertilizer and pesticides. </p><p><br/></p><p>The control is the plants that are staying where they are now, and the treatment group is the plants that are moving to the north side of the garden. </p>]]></description>

The plant will thrive more in the sunlight due to the higher temperatures in the current season. To test our hypothesis, we would place a control plant in the shade, where it would normally be. The treatment group would be a plant that would be placed directly where the sun hits, therefore leading to a higher temperature. A potential experimental design includes alternating days where the food is only placed at the bottom and at the top. If he instead decides to switch to the bottom station, it proves our hypothesis that he gathers food from what is closest. If he continues to eat from the top one, we will have to remake the hypothesis. The control group is the bird before we moved his perch. Our variables are the type of food, which is the controlled variable, the height of the perch, which is the independent variable, and the amount of food eaten is the dependent variable.</p>]]></description>

A different amount of sunlight may improve their condition.</p><p>Experiment: plant the shade-loving plants at the same time. Plant one group in the usual location of the shade-loving plants as a control group, and plant other groups in areas that recieve different hours of sunlight in a day, ranging from shady to half-shaded to direct sunlight. The independent variable will be the amount of sunlight received each day, and the dependent variable will be the growth of the plants by the end of their natural growth cycle. I can test if this is true with experimentation.</p><p><br/></p><p>In order to identify the issue with the shaded plants, I will set up several different variables. First, take cuttings from the plants and propagate them(or move the entire plants). Place plants in different kinds of soil, (different brands, levels of fertilizer, more organic matter etc.) and record their growths daily or weekly. Keep each plant in the same amount of sunlight that they had been in, and water each the same amount. Remember to leave one plant where it was originally to compare. The dependent variable would be the amount of time it takes for the wasp colony to return or if they even return at all.          <description><![CDATA[<p>Hypothesis: If food is left on an elevated level of a cage, the bird will eat the food that is left. </p><p>Experiment: Two containers will be left inside the cage; One which will be elevated and one which will stay at the bottom of the cage. Will then observe which food bowl gets eaten given that both bowls contain the same food and the same amount. </p><p>Independent variable: Location of food container </p><p>Dependent Variable: how much food is eaten from each container. </p><p>Control: the amount of food that is provided to the bird.
