Back in 1920 people were consuming too much alcohol. This made more organized crime like the mob Which when the 18th amendment passed banning alcohol the mob sold alcohol for a higher price than normal. this made people spend too much money on alcohol and made people go into debt. Finley people were drinking too much making the sick and people got alcohol poisoning which made people die because they drank too much.

in 1920 people were fed up of other people drinking to much and getting violent or sick so a group of lady's made a group. this group was named the christian temperance movement this group tried to make change and get an alcohol band. They eventually got the 18th amendment passed banning alcohol. carrie nation was the leader of the temperance movement and she was a native American that thought that alcohol was bad and wanted it band so she got a lot of people to protest and fight ti get it band.

Some solutions to help limit the consumption of alcohol was the 18th amendment this made it so alcohol was banned from being sold. it was illegal to consume alcohol while the 18th amendment was in place this made people less violent and sick but others got violent and protested because they wanted to be able to drink freely.

in the 2000 alcoholism is going up from 1920 the means that more people are drinking that 1920. people drinking now could be more dangerous than back then because now they have access to cars and drunk drivers could not only badly hurt themselves but are putting innocent people at risk about 32 present of car crash fatalities are dui related. this means that it is more deadly now than back in 1920

In 1920 people drank lots of alcohol it is not much different now because people drink lots of alcohol now too the violence and death from alcohol abuse are around then and now. this is showing that drinking in America is a huge problem.

People are helping people with alcohol addiction by giving them a help hotline like the CDC help hotline that will help you if you have an addiction to alcohol. They will also help you be about consuming alcohol also the Police alcohol assistance program can help you with having alcoholism they are trying to help the community by minimising the dui accidents and other alcohol induced problems.

the help hotline is a place to call if you have a drinking problem they will give you strategies on how to quit drinking also they will help you through quitting drinking they will also help you with other problems.

then and now people are there to help other people because they want to do the right thing like the temperance movement banning alcohol and helping save people also the cdcs help line that will help people stay safe and quit acting and bad habits like drinking

the solution then and now are very different but somewhat the same because back then they tried to ban what was making the bad thing happen like drinking to much and now they try to get people to quit what was making bad things happen like drinking.
