I have a wonderful husband, Ryan, who is a CPA and three amazing children. I come from a family of teachers. My dad was my Spanish teacher while I was in high school and he recently retired from Jefferson City High School. My brother is a Spanish teacher and basketball coach in Kearney, MO. I have just begun my seventh year teaching. I taught six years of Spanish and, a few years ago, I taught a year of English. The year of English was my favorite because I spent it in Spain. One of the reasons I love Spanish so much is because I love to travel.

Currently I work for Blair Oaks High School right outside of Jefferson City, MO. It is a rural school with about 430 students in grades 9-12. I teach Spanish 1, 2, & 3. I also help with Student Council, Spanish Club, and our school's Sunshine Committee.  Until this year, I was the Assistant Girls Basketball Coach. I enjoyed it very much, but decided to use this year to work on school and spend more time with my kids.

I want to teach students how to find facts with good sources, and then, teach them to apply this information to real-life situations. 

In my personal life, I would like to use technology to help stream-line my life. Everyone is so busy all the time, and I want to make some things easier by using technology.
