Sounds of a Butterfly
As I meander down the river,
a butterfly flits past.
I'll follow where it's going,
and I'll hear its sounds at last.

Have you ever heard a butterfly?
Have you heard it speak?
Is its voice as loud as mine, or is it very meek?

I finally found the butterflies,
Swirling right before my eyes.
I found the whole kaleidoscope,
and I know for sure they spoke.

They told me of their language,
of the sounds, they like to make.
They told me all their secrets, 
As we shared a piece of cake

Their sounds are light and airy,
And to me......
