Interview:

The systems that i learned were endocrine, muscular, reproductuve, digestive, etc. But the one that I am learning right now is the nervous system which i really like and find interesting. I find it very impressive how it is composed of many thing and all the journey that it has to take to just produce one reaction. Reproductive system was also interesting although I kind of knew all of the concepts but it´s good to always learn something again. I learned many new ways to edit a video like cutaway and i learned how to work with garage band, which I didn't know. We wade an info graphic using GIMP, which i love, a pad cast and a radio ad with garage band and we are going to make a video with stop motion and a really cool interview with a doctor.

Working in teams was a great expereince to me since you get to make new friends and become close to your partners. What we did was to divide the work equally so everyone could work and so something important for the Project, we helped eachother out if we needed some help. Of course, like everyone, we had some difficulties but we managed to resolve them at the end and our projects turned out just fine!

It is a sexually transmitted disease, it is also transmitted by blood. It is a contagious disease.

Isabel Herrera: How serious is it and how does it affect the patient’s lifestyle?

It is very serious, it is a cause of death and it also affects a lot of the patients lifestyle, his or hers immune system gets really affected, every changes. The person can get a lot of disease all the time.

Isabel Herrera: What is the short-term and long-term prognosis for this disease?

The short-term is that the person has to change everything because they could get a lot of diseases. The long-term eventually the person immune system gets so low that eventually causes death.

Maite Garza: what was the chief complaint that the patient had for consulting?

The main complain of a person with aids usually starts with a lot of infection diseases or aids in the body, sometimes is a liver disease, very often. The first complain is usually sickness, they get very tired.

Maite Garza: What other symptoms does the patient present?

Other symptoms include very often skin problems, depression, anxiety and other infections related to the immune system.

Lorena Vazquezmellado: How can the patient be tested for the disease and what do these tests reveals?

What a person suspects hiv the final diagnosis is reveal by a blood test, they have to get a blood test, six months later again and then six months later again.

The disease is caused by a virus, the person has to take an antiretroviral medicine that strengths the immune system for all of her life.

Lorena V: what treatment is the patient receiving and how effective is it?

If the treatment is in a proper stage of the disease it is very effective, they can last for many years. If the disease is detected in a later stage it may not be as effective and the person could die earlier.

Giving information to the community, blood tests for the people that get married or have a sexual relationship. Every pregnant woman has to get a blood test. A prevention test would be a blood test. There are new technologies that detect aids so that no one gets infected by a blood transfusion.

In the technological part, i learned how to make different types of videos, such as trailers, interviews, video ads. I learned how to edit them, how to change the color of the videos (for example in black and white) I learned how to put my voice in the videos and so on.

In the scientific part I learned a lot of our immune system, how does it works, but what i really understand know is our topic HIV. Now i know what does HIV is, what are the symptons and what are the treatments. I also investigated a new HIV antiretoviral drug and it is very interesting. I learned how to prevent HIV and how does the process of having it is.
