How did the location affect the conflict?

Location influenced the Cold War by dividing Europe into East (Soviet-controlled) and West (U.S. allies), with Germany and Berlin as key points of tension. Both superpowers also sought influence in strategic regions worldwide to expand their control. As well the Soviet Union had a large land space that allowed for extensive missile testing, as well as nuclear tests. The USA had access to a large amount of financial freedom due to the natural resources they could exploit.

How did the location affect the conflict?

1) The location at which the Israeli-Palestine conflict is currently happening originally was a Jewish settlement. The Jews over time relocated to other parts of the world and migrated which eventually led to Palestinians migrating and settling in this location. After the world war due to rising conflicts between the Jews and the Germans, the UN decided to relocate all the Jews to where they were originally located, which was now the area Palestinians were located. At first, the Israelis and Palestinians were living together in peace. Still, an increase in the population of the Jewish raised concerns about resources and land which eventually led to the massive war.

How did the location affect the conflict?

The location of India was near the equator which facilitated the well-rounded environment cycles and resource availability. Their location was partitioned due to the religions of Hindus and Muslims, however, it was nowhere equal. India gained more land surface area than Pakistan once they split, there were also 2 parts of Pakistan; west and east also known as Bangladesh which threatened the well-being and independence of India therefore India aided and helped East Pakistan and got it under their territory. The location wasn't a major factor but more about religious separation which impacted the land of territory obtained. This was also at the time of when there was British India aiming fro decolonization

How does the location affect the South China Sea Dispute?

The South China Sea is a crucial maritime corridor, with approximately $3.4 trillion in trade passing through annually, accounting for about one-fifth of global trade.

The sea is believed to be rich in natural gas and oil reserves, with an estimated 11 billion barrels of untapped oil and 190 trillion cubic feet of natural gas—. The potential for resource extraction adds another layer of complexity to the territorial claims.

The geographical layout of the South China Sea includes several contested islands and reefs, notably the Spratly Islands and Paracel Islands. These features are claimed by multiple nations, including China, Vietnam, the Philippines, Malaysia, and Taiwan, leading to overlapping territorial claims.

China's assertion of the nine-dash line, which claims a vast majority of the sea, conflicts with the exclusive economic zones (EEZs) of neighboring countries under the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS), further complicating the dispute.

China uses historical claims to assert their sovereignty, resulting in heightened tensions and confrontations.

The South China Sea is also a focal point of great power competition, particularly between the United States and China.

How did the time period influence the conflict?

The Israeli-Palestinian conflict originated just after the World War. Because of the conflict between the Jews and Germans, the UN decided to move all Jews and relocate them to the Palestinian area. This was a unanimous decision made by most of the UN and the Palestinians did not have much of a say in this decision. Additionally, due to the time period being sensitive because of the major war that had just ended, they did not want to continue the conflict between Jews. However, this decision increased the conflict between Palestinians and Israelis due to land, religious and resource-based disputes.
