The vast majority of the world's most adored scientific wonders will be explored by pupils while they are fully immersed in this educational experience.

These settings were specifically chosen to provide pupils with a fresh perspective on the scientific world around them.

Educators will encourage students to rethink science and develop respect and appreciation for nature and the study of science as a subject by encouraging them to ask questions about how they perceive the world. The overall goal is to cultivate curiosity and questioning about science in students' daily lives. A unique experience of slowing down, opening their minds to the world around them, and sparking creativity is provided to students by being immersed in nature.

Students will undertake a group project in each country they visit, one project will be completed per month over the duration of the first semester.

Project areas:
- erosion by water, ice, wind, vegetation and human impact (students will complete a project on each of these topics)

The following standard will be covered by the group project:

4-ESS2-1 Earth's Systems

Make observations and/or measurements to provide evidence of the effects of weathering or the rate of erosion by water, ice, wind, or vegetation.

Performance Expectation

Grade: 3-5

The consequences of weathering and the speed of erosion will be covered in daily science classes with the ship's instructors. In addition to the numerous factors that can contribute to erosion: specifically the elements of water, ice, wind, and vegetation this semester.

Each place that the educational cruise ship stops at will provide pupils the chance to see the subjects and regions they have been studying in real life, allowing the student to put what is being learned into practice. The knowledge learned will subsequently be utilized by the students to continue working on the project.
