Email, while it has slowly become used less, it is still the way most teachers communicate with students. It provides teachers with the ability to message all their student quickly and effectively. Since radar is not a personal email, it also allows students to message Professors with questions at all times of the day. It also, allows me to share files with people if we are working in groups or even to myself so I can have the file on any computer I go to. Most business also ask for an email when you sign up for their rewards program, then often send you an email when they have a special deal.

This is by far my most used website, and the site that I am constantly on. As a Nursing major most of my classes revolve around biology. In these classes the teacher has powerpoints that they put onto D2L that we can look at and print. Along with PowerPoint's, this is where I take my tests for my online classes, and get the assignments for classes such as: library, sociology, psychology, and history. This site includes a grade book which most teachers post your grades in, which helps me keep track of how I am doing in school, and what I can improve upon.

All of this information is available in one spot, RAIN. While this site is not used everyday, the information on it is important. It is after all the place where you pick your classes for the next year. It also shows you where you are going to live the next school year, and who your roommates will be. The site also holds your final Grades and Transcript information. So, while it is not the most used site, the role it plays in my college career is huge.
