The colonists decided to boycott the taxes and use their own goods. Some extreme cases like the Boston Tea party colonists couldn't get the British ships to leave so they attacked the ships and threw all of the tea off the ship. Female colonists formed groups call the Daughters of Liberty and they got word out to the colonists to use their own goods instead of using the goods sent from Britain. They uged colonists to use their own goods that they made.

The colonists did not react positively to the amount of taxes they were paying. Tea was one of the main products being taxed. Since the colonists disagreed with the added taxes, they snuck onto ships and dumped the boxes of tea into the Boston harbour, which is now known as the Boston Tea Party. After this, the colonists revolted and the revolution began.

They did this because they wanted to have more money, they wanted more money because more money equals more power. Then more and more colonist would be angry and do thing like the "Boston Tea Party."This then caused England and the colonies over time to start war.

The main reason why the colonists were taxed so heavily is due to the loss of money. In other words, the little amount of money that the government had was an effect on the 7 Years War. In order to get the government out of dept, they turned to the colonists. The colonists thought this was unfair since, it was not the colonists fault the British were involved in a war with the French. Some examples on goods that were taxed on is, sugar, coffee, certain wine, also on imported goods from other countries. The colonists disliked this which lead to, boycotting goods with taxes. Therefore, since the government was not making much money from the taxes. In addition to boycotting goods, the colonists also made protests against the taxes, one of the protests was the Boston Tea party. As shown, the colonists did not have a good reaction to the taxes.
