These women did not go up into space, but they did have a lot to do with getting those astronauts up there. The movie is titled "hidden figures" because these women were behind the scenes of getting the USA astronauts into space. They did all the math and the hard stuff that no one could do. This made it okay for everyone to use the same bathroom, colored girls and white girls, and colored men and white men. In the movie, when everyone was given equal chances, they found a way to finally send an American rocket to space. If they had not given Katherine and friends a chance to help we still might have not of sent a man to space, and everything would be different. Just because people do not look the same does not mean that they do not think or act the same.
