How to we help students to cope with this issue?
- Ask them how they are feeling, encourage them to express their emotions
- Helping students to have more perspective
- Not being selected =/= a bad performance
- Helping students to learn to accept loss; the importance of sportsmanship
- To be proud of effort, not just results
