Jane Addams born in 1860 in Chicago, Illinois. Her family lived in a big, comfterable home in the country. Jane's Mother died when she was two, when she was four contracted tuberculin's of the spine, known as potty's disease, which caused a caritive in her spine and lifelong health problems. As a child she went to Sunday school and spent most of her time playing and reading, she was very empathetic to others because of her challengers she founded Hull House to serve the poor immigrants in Chicago, Illinois.

She was a determined student. excelling in school and reading even though she had medical disability she kept pushing to make her goal true helping the poor and for world peace. She did this because she was seeing how the poor were treated and how different people treated the world, and she wanted this to stop so she tried her best even with a medical disability and even though people doubted her she kept pushing and never gave up.
