Side B: we cannot eliminate fossil fuels without crashing the economy, 79% of energy is produced from fossil fuels in america with that fossil fuels producing 84% of energy in the world. The amount of greenhouse gasses that humanity is pumping into the atmosphere is destroying the ozone layer of the atmosphere and is causing ice caps melt resulting in loss of habitat and rising sea levels. These increased temperatures are killing animals and other life and habitats both under water and on land.

Barack Obama,2008-2016 President: supports combating climate change and in 2015 made an agreement with almost 200 other countries that in theory would have resulted in carbon emissions going down enough to avoid a global rise of in temperature below two degrees celsius which is when the major issues would begin.


Donald Trump,2016-2020 President: didn't believe climate change is real or if he did, he felt that jobs were more important. Trump reversed some of Obama's executive orders affecting greenhouse gasses in order to boost the economy and did not attempt to combat climate change while in office.
