This is a Facebook post that was posted on their Facebook page. Initially, when we started campus, we were told to follow the institution's social media pages. A week ago, the same screenshot of this Facebook post was sent into one of the WhatsApps groups that caused some of the students to go into a tizz. 
All of our official news gets sent to our student emails, blackboard or on the CPUT website.

I myself have fell into this trap without doing further research. In order to stop these "fake" news from spreading, CPUTs person in charge of the Facebook and Twitter platform should react to these allegations and set the record straight. If it continues, Facebook allows for posts to be reported.
