They would farm wheat and cattle. They are know as Canada's bread basket. Under the ground is all sedimentary rock which contains rich mineral, gas, coal and oil. The Northern part is home to a large amount of Coniferous trees called the Boreal Forest which extends from the Rocky Mountains all the way across Canada to Newfoundland.
