         <description><![CDATA[<div>Monroe was born (June 1, 1926) and raised in Los Angeles. She spent most of her childhood in foster homes and an orphanage, she married at age 16. She was working in a factory as part of the war effort during World War II when she met a photographer from the First Motion Picture Unit and began a successful pin-up modeling career. She became an actress and a sexual symbol and she died in August 4, 1962 (aged 36)</div><div>in Los Angeles.</div>]]></description>
