         <description><![CDATA[<p>My professional take-away from one of the articles was  the importance of social and emotional learning ( SEL )  and how critical it is maintaining the mental health and well being of the school community. This includes The Principal, teachers, cafe staff, and janitors as they are all one unit and the goal is to be there for scholars and offer all the support available. </p><p><br/></p><p><em>Who helps the helpers?          <description><![CDATA[<p>One of my self care strategies that I personally use even now as an educator is setting clear boundaries between my professional and personal life, this strategy has proven to prevent burnout and allowing myself as well as other educators and counselors  to recharge and allowing them to tackle the job more efficiently as time progresses. </p><p>Another method of self care is daily affirmations and meditation sessions throughout the day as time permits. This allows to reset the mind and body as the job can create a lot of stress. This helps to enhance emotional resilience. </p><p><br/></p><p>Brown, K. W., &amp; Ryan, R. M.
