1. I did not see any kids playing in the designated play area. I think this is because I went on a Friday in the morning, so I think kids were still probably at school. Unfortunately, at Mark Arts and City arts they did not have a space for kids. They did offer art classes for children, but those were happening while I was there.

Did you notice any integrated arts activities? If so, what did you see? 

2. The Wichita Art Museum did have activities available. They had several tables with all sorts of art supplies. They had a drama section where kids could play "act". I did see an adult art class in progress at Mark Arts which was very cool.

What did you "take away" from these community arts experiences?

3. Something I took away was how interactive the Wichita Art Museum is. There were several places where you could interact. I have never been to this museum, and it was very cool.

Which of the three arts experiences was your favorite and why?

4. The Wichita Art Museum was by far my favorite. I liked it the most because they had a lot of really old art which I found more interesting than the new pop culture art at City Arts or Mark Arts. (It is also free every single day of the week now!)

How could you use or apply these experiences to your future classroom with PK-6 students?

5. I could apply the information I learned but offering insight to others about a field trip to these places. I think the Wichita Art Museum would be an awesome field trip for fourth graders.
