Glogster https://edu.glogster.com/ The above picture is an example of one I made.

This tool is a great way to make virtual posters otherwise called infographics.

Its a good one for making posters but there are free options that are similar if not quite as good. It takes a little bit to get used to in how to navigate the site but does offer lots of templets, pictures, and fonts to help your creativity. I had trouble downloading pictures but hopefully that was a temporary thing. It does not seem to have a free option though the prices are not too steep. I would recommend it if your going to use it a bunch in class to make the price worth it.

Padlet Entry #2- Pear Deck

1. Pear Deck https://www.peardeck.com/googleslides An example of google slides including Pear Deck.
2. This tool is a way to include questions for students to answer in lecture slides. Each student gets the slides on their computer not just projected up front.
3. This is a good way to engage during a lecture. Rather than students just looking at the slides and taking notes now their are questions for them to answer. It helps the teacher gauge if students really understand the content. I have seen teachers assign a Pear Deck as homework were they go through the slides at their own pace. Students answer the questions in the Pear Deck as the assessment part. Good things are that it has a free option and integrates with both google slides and PowerPoint. Bad points are that to get all that it offers costs money and its not cheap but hopefully the school system will be paying for it. You have to download an extension to your web browser to use it and its not especially user friendly. The slides can sometimes be slow to change and glitch out at times.

Padlet Entry #3- Edpuzzle

1. Edpuzzle
https://edpuzzle.com/ An example of a Edpuzzle video with a question that needs answered.
2. This program puts questions into videos for them to answer. It also lets the students go back and watch again if they are not sure on the answer.
3. This tool is a great way to make videos interactive. Rather than students just passively watching a video or answering questions on paper the questions are built into the video. There are lots of already made videos and questions that a teacher can assign. A teacher can also upload their own videos and create questions themselves. Some good points of Edpuzzle include that if the questions are multiple choice Edpuzzle will grade the answers so that lessons a teachers workload. There is a free option that gives access to up to 20 videos. Edpuzzle is integrated with google classroom, Canvas, and many others which makes it easier to assign their videos. It allows students to watch at their own pace and makes it easy to go back and watch just the section needed to answer the question. Bad points include that it will cost to have more than 20 videos. Some might be fortunate enough that their school district will pay for Edpuzzle. Not all videos can be uploaded to Edpuzzle. Some students might just be going from question to question without actually watching and learning from the video.
