The frontier experience shaped the American identity by giving people a fresh start at all times. If something goes wrong for people elsewhere in the country, they can always move west and find new opportunities. This gave people an opportunity to move away from the over crowded urban areas on the east coast to areas that are less crowded. Along with new land, there were new job opportunities. This became apparent during the Gilded Age when people began building large amounts of wealth by moving to western parts of the US.

B) Briefly explain ONE additional American identity resulting from the frontier experience.
The frontier experience also resulted in individualism in Americans. Americans could move to an area that had never been settled before and start a new life. They were able to bring their own cultures and create new cultures in these areas. This led to very diverse cultures in the United States and thus more individualism between Americans.

C) Briefly explain how the the frontier affected American democracy.
This individualism that was created by the frontier promoted democracy strongly. Each individual person was given their own voice and that is a necessity in a democratic government. Intellectual traits also came from the frontier. People living in new areas obtained new knowledge and were thus able to contribute to the american democracy more. The frontier contributed to the United States and its democracy in many ways.

A) The growth and industrialization of corporations really benefited consumers. Consumers were given more choice as well as better prices on products. Industrialization helped consumers in the quality and price of products. Corporations were able to lower prices because they had a larger and more accessible work force.

B) The middle class was benefited as well as harmed by the industrialization and growth of corporations. The middle class was benefited because they were consumers and were thus benefited from the low prices and quality of products. However, the middle class was harmed because cities became very crowded and unsanitary. The middle class also grew at this time, because more jobs were being created by the industrialization of these corporations.

C) Working women were benefited from the growth and industrialization of corporations because women were able to work in factories and make money consistently for the first time in history. Industries, like clothing, grew due to the work of women. This allowed women to get out of the house and create income for the house. This also led to the idea of individualism for women and thus furthered the idea of women's suffrage.
