We have an important update about our wrap around care.

From September 2026 as Planet Soccer will no longer run after-school care, we are pleased to welcome ACE Kids, who will provide all wrap around care at Sandfield. Please click here for further information: Letter to Parents

This will include:

Breakfast Club from 7:30am

After School Club until 6:00pm

Care for all children, including Reception

Childcare vouchers accepted

This new service will replace all current school-run care. Morning Club will close on 18th July, so please make sure your account is settled.

You can meet ACE Kids at:

Play and Stay sessions (for new Reception families) and for all existing parents, at their Parent Information Meeting on Friday 26th June at 8:30am in the school hall.

This week, Reception began by celebrating World Ocean Day. We explored what is happening to our oceans through the books Ducks Overboard and Somebody Swallowed Stanley, then learned about the Great Pacific Garbage Patch. We also began discussing ocean conservation and how we can help protect our oceans by making small, meaningful changes at home.

PE day for Reception Class is on Mondays 

Year 1 and Year 2 have begun their new RE topic, “Why Should We Look After Our World?” As part of our learning, we thought about the things we treasure most and created drawings of what is precious to us.

Take a look at these beautiful illustrations of our families, rainbows, animals, and plants. Through this activity, the children explored the importance of caring for the world and all the wonderful things in it.

PE days for Year 1 & Year 2 are on Mondays and Wednesdays 

As part of our Ancient Egyptian topic, Year 3 and 4 have been investigating different Egyptian movements during their dance lesson in P.E.

They have been using their bodies to create typical Egyptian dance poses and shapes. During this topic, they will learn a sequence of movements and then have the opportunity to demonstrate their own choreography creatively in small groups. Well done everyone!

PE days for Year 3 & Year 4 are Tuesdays & Thursdays 

This week, the children have thoroughly enjoyed another swimming session.

We were proud of their fantastic behaviour as they walked to and from the Spectrum, luckily without heavy rain!  In the water, they showed great listening skills, determination and effort. It was wonderful to see their confidence growing as they practised their swimming skills. Well done to everyone for such a positive and successful experience!

Swimming Lessons for Year 5 & 6

Payment information is now available on your MCAS app. Please make a note of the deadline of Friday 22nd May 2026.

PE days for Year 5 & Year 6 are Thursdays and Fridays. All children will need to wear PE kits on Tuesdays for swimming.
