At the beginning of the semester, I set out to improve my organization, clarity, and ability to write with a stronger sense of purpose. I believe I made significant progress toward these goals, especially in my ability to revise effectively and tailor my writing for different audiences. One of the most notable improvements I made was in crafting strong thesis statements and developing logical structures within my essays. For example, in my research paper, I was able to present a nuanced argument with well-integrated sources, which showed growth in both organization and use of evidence.

One of the biggest challenges I faced this semester was overcoming vague or repetitive language. Through peer review and instructor feedback, I learned to revise with intention, focusing on specificity and conciseness. The revision process for my literacy narrative was a turning point—it went through multiple drafts and ended up being a much more powerful, focused piece as a result.
