         <description><![CDATA[<p>At the beginning of the semester, I set out to improve my organization, clarity, and ability to write with a stronger sense of purpose. I believe I made significant progress toward these goals, especially in my ability to revise effectively and tailor my writing for different audiences. One of the most notable improvements I made was in crafting strong thesis statements and developing logical structures within my essays. For example, in my research paper, I was able to present a nuanced argument with well-integrated sources, which showed growth in both organization and use of evidence.</p><p>One of the biggest challenges I faced this semester was overcoming vague or repetitive language. Through peer review and instructor feedback, I learned to revise with intention, focusing on specificity and conciseness. The revision process for my literacy narrative was a turning point—it went through multiple drafts and ended up being a much more powerful, focused piece as a result.</p><p>Feedback played a major role in my development. Whether it came from classmates, my instructor, or my own reflections, it helped me see my writing from a reader’s perspective. I also became more comfortable with experimenting with tone and structure, which helped me find and refine my voice.</p><p>Overall, I feel more confident and capable as a writer. I now approach writing with a clearer understanding of audience, purpose, and genre, and I’ve developed strategies—like outlining and reverse outlining—that I will carry into future writing tasks.</p><p><br></p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>The Initial Research Question assignment helped me achieve Outcome 1 by encouraging me to explore a topic that genuinely interested me and develop a focused, researchable question. I began with a broad subject and, through brainstorming and preliminary research, narrowed it down to a question that invited deeper investigation. This process strengthened my critical thinking by requiring me to evaluate sources, identify gaps in existing knowledge, and consider multiple perspectives. It also laid the foundation for my later work, guiding my research process with a clear purpose and demonstrating my ability to engage in meaningful academic inquiry.</p><p><br></p>]]></description>
