There is an unlimited amount of technology available. However, it seems difficult to find something to help students write papers. My question is, is there anything other than rubrics available?

Instead of giving your students rubrics, you can give them checklists. Instead of telling them how many points they get for how detailed something is, it will just be a reminder to check their papers so they do not focus as much on the points and just write their paper. Some of the tasks included on the checklist could be "check spelling and grammar", "have a capturing title", and "write full and complex sentences."

I have seen a lot of adds talking about Grammarly, but I have not checked it out myself. If it does what the ads say it does, it would be worth looking into for your students. I think there is ProWritingAid as well, but I do not know if it is free.
