<title>Blackfish is an touching American documentary released in 2013, produced by Manny Oteyza and directed by Gabriela Cowperthwaite. The cast includes old trainers of SeaWorld, neuroscientists, representatives of OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration), relative of victims and the most important figure, the spectacular Tilikum. The documentary tells the trajectory of Tilikum, a killer whale, responsible for the deaths of three people, two trainers and a man that invaded the SeaWorld park. Captured in North Atlantic when was just a baby and maintained in cruel captivity all his life, Tilikum was separate from his family, taken from her natural habitat and placed in Sealand to be trained, exposed in a “whale pool. The story also tells about, the life of the Tiklikum in the SeaWorld and the secrets of the park, where it suffered several attacks from the other female whales, performed at Shamu Show, and fatally, killed two people. This production brings a lot of scientific information about the orcas, what helps us understand how much magnificent and intelligent these animals are, besides ending with the myths around the whale. The documentary shows real pictures and videos of the attacks, or of whales suffering, what provokes more emotion and identification on the viewer.Blackfish is an excellent documentary, ideal for expose the limits of the human control over nature, besides raising awareness in the population about the animal exploration by the mulit-billion dollar sea-park industry. So if you haven’t seen this production yet, go see, I’m sure that you will learn a lot with this experience!</title>
