This is for older students I would say grade 5 and up when they get into paper writing and research projects having the knowledge of technology and how it can help them would make a big impact in the classroom.

This can be a challenge to integrate these into the classroom. Another barrier is the lack of training with the tools it could feel overwhelming or unsure about how effective it is or how it connects to the lessons they are trying to teach. Internet safety is a big barrier for educators. They need to ensure that the tools they use are age-appropriate, secure, and protects students' personal information.

Not because I don’t want to but because I need my phone for work to stay connected with my co-workers and be on call when needed. Another reason is that I have moved 13 hours away from my family and being very family-orientated I like to call and text them on the daily. I feel when I am in my downtime I can catch myself scrolling for far too long and  I lose track of time that is something I can be working on but my scrolling also comes in contact with some great ideas that can be used within the classroom which is why I keep scrolling.

I will use technology in my classroom to create engaging and interactive lessons. I will use educational apps that have learned about well in this class along with online platforms and multimedia resources to truly make my content come alive! Technology also allows for personalized learning, I can use online assessments and data tracking tools to identify each student's strengths and areas where they need to improve on. Communication is another area where I will use technology in the classroom. I will be using e-mail, messaging apps, or video apps to stay connected with students, parents, and coworkers this will make it easier to share content updates and answer questions promptly. Personally, I think this class has taught me so much about different apps that can help me while lesson planning, and being able to see others research on apps and websites gave me ideas on what I can use later on that I would have never found on my own. This class has shown me the positives of technology in the classroom and how to use the apps in an easy fun way. While looking back to enhance my learning experience I would for sure expand my learning more by going deeper into the web to try to find more educational sites to use for my assignments some that no one else has used. I would also like to be more active in the classroom during lessons along with after classes writing down notes to come up with questions to bring to the next lecture to pick the teacher's brain when I can.

I did not know that there were three waves of the feminist theory and how much it impacts Canada. Knowing what I do now I will do everything in my power to help young girls and women learn about this and help them protect themselves. It is easy to use and you can make it personalized with the colour background, what you can post about it's fun to use and has ways to share information. I feel as I get into my later years as an educator I will be using this in my classroom.

Another app that I find very useful while being in university education is Facebook. Facebook has helped expand my resources because there are Facebook groups that have teachers all over the world posting and sharing their content that I could use during my career. There are so many ideas that I can't wait to try.

My social media use outside of the classroom has gone up since starting the class which I didn't think I would like but after making accounts for Twitter for the class and then logging into Facebook and Instagram again I can see that social media is not just sharing random content but it also can be about learning. Since there are so many educators in the world, websites just don't get to the attention of most people, so they create social media accounts that anyone can have access to and they share their content and where they access content that they use and it's just a great way to see that there are people that have the same passions as me out there in the world.

I am 20 years old. I am a student at Portage College. I am on my way to being a teacher of tiny humans! I knew I wanted to be a teacher since I was in grade 3, so this was not a last-minute choice or a random career I just decided on one day. Teaching is what I am most passionate about. I had struggled with my own learning growing up due to my ADHD. The teachers would not help me. They would discourage me and get upset when I didn't understand what they were teaching. I hated school and in grade 3 I made a promise to myself to try and become a teacher to make a difference and make sure another child does not have the same experience as I did. I know I will be a great teacher one day and working hard to prove it to the rest of the world too.
