In Denver, Colorado state-licensed therapists claim that any, of there patients that are LGBTQ+, are mentally ill. In New York, representatives have been opposing GENDA (Gender Expression Non-Discrimination Act) and other unnamed LGBTQ+ based laws for 8 years. Then in a Virginia middle school, a transgender girl was forced to in the gym hallway during a shooter drill because the teachers couldn’t decide to either send her into the girls' bathroom or the boys' locker room.

Teachers and other staff members in many schools do not allow there trans students to use the bathroom that they would feel most comfortable in because of rape and other issues, but the thing is, that you could to the bathroom and not have an ugly in counter because the person has common sense. This is why the Trans community especially youth, have issues at school and in public. People are pushing and oppressing them into this corner and it needs to stop, people are and will continue to get hurt if you just don’t use your brain and common sense in situations of sensitivity.

In 2013 the Russian President Vladimir Putin passed a law banning “gay propaganda” such as. Being able to talk to someone about anything LGBTQ+, being able to look up anything LGBTQ+ related on the internet, or even talking about with a therapist could get you killed or worse. Along with that many states are starting to ban conversion therapy due to it being proven that homosexuality is not a mental illness and does not need to be treated. Also in 2015 the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission came into an agreement the the 7th of Civil rights of 1964 does not allow discrimination towards sexual orientation leading to the legalization of gay marriage.
