Cynic "Diogenes" or 'the dog.'

Diogenes was born in 412 or 404 BC, and he died in 323 BC. He was born in Sinope and he was a cynic philosopher. The cynics believed in and strived for self sufficiency and strength. seeing as virtue to them was the only need for happiness. Diogenes had no house, and he often was known for sleeping in a barrel on the side of the street. He tried to live as plainly as possible. Diogenes was such an animal that he would eat the food scraps of the side of the street, pee on people that he didn't like, and pleasure himself in public. Alexander the Great looked up to Diogenes and found him to be one of the greatest people to live, as one of his quotes was: "If I were not Alexander, I would want to be Diogenes." But one of the craziest things Diogenes did was when Plato gave Socrates's definition of a man as a "featherless biped" which he was praised for. Diogenes decided to pluck a chicken, bring it to Plato's academy and said "Behold, I've brought you a man".

Soulja boy: The first rapper to do it all

Soulja Boy Is a rapper that blew up in 2006/2007. He is best known for his songs "crank that", or "kiss me through the phone" and also for wearing his glasses that said his name "Soulja Boy" on the lenses. Soulja Boy has always claimed that he was the first rapper to do a lot of things such as being the first rapper to own an Iphone, and the first rapper to rock an iced out G-shock. He has also claimed that he was the first rapper to do it all and everything. His music changed the perspective of a ton of rappers and changed the music game forever. he inspired countless rappers to start making music and to change their flow of the average rap and hip hop style.

literally me: the batman

The batman was a movie that came out in 2022 but started off with a huge line of comic books that grew in popularity and eventually became a huge best selling movie series. The first time I watched this movie was when I was on a cruise ship in Mexico. It was playing on a projector on the main deck at midnight. Right from the start I could tell that I was going to love this movie. It was made so perfectly with always having tension throughout and always on suspense. My favourite part about the movie is how the police don't trust batman but he is the full on hero of the day. This movie changed my perspective of how movies are created and how great they can be. The quote "I am vengeance" reflects the true nature of what justice is, not being corrupted like a lot of the police officers in the movie.

the biggest love hate relationship: golf

I started playing golf 2 years ago when I started working at the golf course. I got my dad's friends old set of clubs and went with those. I would be at the golf course around 4 times a week but only at the driving range as I was too scared to go onto the course and play terribly. so the next season. I started to actually go on the course. I wasn't the best player at all, just straight up not a good player. But I still loved going everyday, even though how mad it would make me. I would be raging and yelling every time I hit a bad shot, but the thrill of hitting a ball dead shot straight made it all worth it. I have slowly gotten better to the point where I am now an above average golfer which is good in my mind saying I haven't been playing for that long. I want to keep progressing in my game and become a great player in the end. I just have to keep playing and staying consistent. My quote ressembles for when I start off with an awful shot and I want to redo it, So I need to take a "breakfast ball" or "mulligan"

the Domain! : Shiki Murakami

Shiki murakami, he is an exchange student that came in grade 10 and has been here since then and is graduating with us. He has improved his English greatly throughout his time in Squamish. He has also became an exceptional snowboarder, started from not being able to do anything on a snowboard to feeling very comfortable to do tricks. "young tuning" is the business shiki and kyle have built up from scratch. It is a ski and snowboarding repair business and it has been quite successful since they started it and his only way of income. He is persevered throughout all of the challenges that him been set onto him and never gave up.
