         <description><![CDATA[<div> Increased amount of failed grades, more expulsions, increased dropout rates which can result in a lower rate of college undergraduate completion. Also, ADHD can cause lack of attention to details resulting in mistakes, difficulty following directions, as well as struggles with maintaining organization and memory loss. The student will also interrupting conversations and be a distraction inside and outside of class  (Joyce-Beaulieu el at., 2015, p.87).</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The student’s progress can be monitored by developing the IEP and setting goals.  If the goals are reached or cannot be reached then the IEP should be adjusted. Also, monitoring the student’s behavior and concentration before and after they are put on medication is ideal.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Students who continue to struggle through Tier 2 are recommended for the 3<sup>rd</sup> tier.  This tier will require individualized interventions and their progress will be monitored.  This tier will involve more intensive monitoring and require outside services.  The student may be considered for special education services (Massat et al., 2016).<br>The student with ADHD will receive one on support and the social worker will monitor their behavior and academic success while on medication and try to implement the necessary behaviors to be successful in school. </div>]]></description>
