Know,

Before this project I didn't know what the formal elements were or how to capture images that included these elements however after doing this projects and looking at other photographers image and getting an idea of what the formal elements are etc I know how a clear understanding of what they are and I am pretty confident with being able to identify when they have been used in images and also how to take them myself.
Also I now know how to use photoshop and change the saturation of the images etc and again before this project I have never really used photoshop before and also didn't know much about it and after this project I have found out many things and have become more confident with using it.
I have learnt new websites such as Padlet and adobe spark and before this project I haven't used these before or even heard of them however by the end of this project I am able to quite cofidnetally use these websites without having any complications to prevent me from doing so.
I now know many things which I didn't before doing this project this project have helped me increase my knowledge in many different ways I am pleased that this have been the outcome of this project.

Do,

There has been 5 tasks to do these tasks have been things such as get to know the formal elements and research photographers images and explain why they interested you.
Another task was we then had to recreate the images that we found interesting and this was like a practise so we understood what the formal elements were more.
We also had to use photoshop and get used to how to use the app and also describe what 30 tools were and how to use them.
We also had to plan our final shoot and by doing this we had to do mindmaps and a proposal and many other things so that we would know what we was going to do for the final shoot.
Then we had to take at least 40 images 10 for each of the formal elements (Line, shape, texture, and colour) and then we also had to create a presentation and chose the last 4 images that were our favourite.

Show,

We have showcased our work in a verity of different ways using programmes such a adobe spark and padlet etc we have also produced work that has been handwritten. We have produced work on programmes that PowerPoint and word and a few others etc. In this project we have showcased our work in many different ways and used many different programmes and websites.
https://padlet.com/lovegroveellie8/5l58a24adklv

https://spark.adobe.com/page/qvX2ymM5x39O5/

Improve,
I feel like what I need to most improve on is how I organise my time because I did find it quite difficult with trying to meet the deadlines so in my next project I am going to organise my time better so that I will get all the work completed by the deadline. However I think that I have done quite well with being able to to know how to use websites that I didn't even know existed before this project I learnt how to use them in a small amount of time and I am happy with this.

Know,

After doing the final shoot I am now fully confidential with all the formal elements and i now understand how to take images which include these formal elements and where you're able to find these elements etc. Before this week I did know what the formal elements were hopefully I think that doing this shoot it has lead to me being more confident about what they are etc.

do,
What I done was I took roughly around 10 images for each element (Line,Shape,texture and colour) I took these images in places such as the streets or in my garden in fileds and college etc and even a train station I was able to produce images which I was happy with I also created a powerpoint presentatio which included what was my final 4 favourite images were I feel like my presentation wasn't to the best standard that I would have liked it to be however It isn't terrible it has what it needed.

Show,
How I showed my work was by creating a contact sheet and showing the images that I captured on my PowerPoint presentation etc and you're also able to see the work I have produced in the images which I have taken

Improve,

I think that I have done well in the images that I have managed to capture they're all to a standard that I like however I feel like I could improve on my presentation and make it more eye appealing and maybe add more information because I believe it is quite vague and could use with a bit more explanation but I think that it is acceptable.

•Know:
I think that by doing all the mind maps we done I believe that it has benefited me because before this week I wouldn't really consider including the different options of the chooses etc. However if I was to do a mind map now I would definitely consider thinking about the options which I could choose to improve my mind maps and make them more detailed instead of just doing the minimum work.

•Do:
I had never written a proposal before this week however by the end of this week I have became much more confident with how to write one. considering that it was my first time writing a proposal I am quite pleased with the amount of writing that I did and next time I think I can easily write more if required to do so. How I completed this task was on a word document and what I needed to do was answer all the questions like will there be a budget required and the location of the places I will be taking images at etc. I don't think there were any barriers while completing this work as I got it done in time however it did take some time for me to think about what I was going to write.

I also completed 4 mind maps on word for each of the formal elements I managed to do this quite easily without having any difficulties while doing so however before I created these mind maps I did have a practise on making one about my journey to school and I do believe that it help benefit the outcome of my other mind maps. All of the mind maps which i produced were all on a word document.

•Show:
All the work in which I completed this week was all produced on word documents I do believe that word was a suitable choice for using to produce the work that I did. I did also complete some work which was paper based and what I had to do was sketch a part of the motion room and include all the electricity etc and note down any risk hazards.

•Improve:
The improvement I need to work on is that I think I need to look deeper into the questions I am asked and think about different choices just in case things don't plan out the way i would like them to be. Because I don't think that this time i have listed as much options as I would have liked, I feel like I have learnt this week that it is important to always think about more than just one idea because that one might not turn out the way you would like it to be so it is always a good idea to have a back up plan. So next session I will consider multiples of different ideas so that if anything goes wrong with the ones I already have I wont have any struggle thinking about coming up with a new one.

•Know;
After this week I am quite confident that I understand what all the formal elements are these are Line,shape,colour and texture, after this week I even know how to capture images myself which include the formal elements. I am able to identify from images whether or not they have any of the formal elements in the image and if so what element it is. Last week I wasn't as confident with the elements however now i believe that i do have a understanding of what they are etc.

•Do;
I produced images for each of the formal elements (Line,shape,colour,texture) for all of the images that I took I used an iPhone to capture all the images in order to add all the images to my spark and to even get inspiration for the images I recreated. I had to use an computer firstly, to chose the images that I wanted to recreate and second of all to upload the images that I took to my spark. how I uploaded the images to my spark was I added the images that I took onto Showbie from my phone and then I then saved the images onto the computer. The locations of where I took these images were at a train station, college, the streets and in gardens etc.
•Show;
How I showed the images that I captured compared to the photographers work was I uploaded all the images to adobe spark also I explained the differences and similarities that the images i had taken have compared to the photographers image.

https://spark.adobe.com/page/qvX2ymM5x39O5/

•Improve ;
I think that the best area of formal elements that I did well in was texture because I do think that the image I captured was quite similar to the photographers image. I didn't really struggle as much trying to recreate the image however the area I struggled in the most was trying
to recreate the colour image. To improve i think that i need to try and work on my timing to get work complete because i didn't get as many images that i would have like to have gotten.

•Know:

The activity that helped me was playing Kahoot because it improved my knowledge and made me aware of what i know and the areas where i need to find out more information about.

I now know how create a Padlet and how to use the website before this week i didn't even know the website existed but now i know how to use it.
•Do:
While doing this task i had to do a fair bit of research to find images which used lines,shape,texture and colour i looked at many different photographers but Michael Kenna's work influenced me the most. i completed the task by finding a verity of different images for all of the formal elements and then i uploaded all the images to my padlet and added an explanation to all of the image about the reason why i chose that image. I noticed that the images i have chosen are quite similar i did find it quite a struggle to find a wide range of images because the ones i have chosen are all quite similar, However i am proud that i have accomplished making a padlet for the first time and knowing how to use the website.

•Show:

I presented my work outcomes all on padlet i did this in the layout shelf in my padlet i included many different images i had four rows one for line then shapes,colour and texture.

•Improve:

I think i need to work on researching because next time i would like to be able to find a wider range of images that are different from each other but still however have the shape, line colour and texture element in them. I think by me improving i need to find other ways and method of finding out information etc.
