International qualifications

All applicants must meet their course’s qualification requirements to accept an offer at Oxford. While A-levels are common, a wide range of UK and international qualifications are accepted. 

English language and visa requirements

As well as meeting our academic requirements for undergraduate study, international applicants must also ensure they meet any relevant English language and visa requirements. If you are offered a place, you will need to show the correct level of proficiency by 31 July in the year you receive your offer.

Oxford offers one of the most generous financial support packages available for UK students. Our ambition is to ensure that no one with outstanding academic potential is deterred from studying here because of their background, personal circumstances, or finances.

Visiting Options

We love having visitors on campus! We encourage you to visit Amherst to see the campus for yourself and meet our students, staff and professors. There are several ways to visit us:

Scheduled Visits

Each of our scheduled visits starts with a one-hour information session (presented by an admission dean) followed immediately by a one-hour campus tour (led by a student tour guide), a sequence that is designed to maximize the value of your time with us. All visits begin at the Office of Admission at 220 South Pleasant Street, Amherst, MA. The Office of Admission is open to visitors from 8:30am - 4:30pm on weekdays. We recommend arriving at least fifteen minutes before the start of your scheduled visit.

On some dates, only an information session or a tour may be offered, so be sure to check the registration schedule for the date you're planning to visit. For groups of 10 or larger, don't forget to fill out our group visit form.

Self-Guided Tours

If you will be visiting our campus at a time when student-led tours are not offered, you can access our interactive campus map, follow our online virtual tour or pick up our self-guided tour map, available in the visitor information box outside the front door of the Admission Office.

Financial Aid Information Sessions - Virtual Only

Want to learn more about our approach to financial aid, including our commitment to meeting the full calculated need of every admitted student with a no-loan financial aid package? Then be sure to sign up for a virtual Financial Aid Information Session with one of our financial aid deans. 

As you plan your visit...

Some additional important items of interest for visiting students and their families:

• Location and Hours: The Office of Admission is located at 220 South Pleasant Street, Amherst, MA 01002. We are open Monday - Friday, 8:30 am - 4:30 pm. We have limited hours on selected Saturdays from August through November.

• Parking: There are several parking spaces for visitors directly in front of the Admission building, but you may also park in the lot behind the Admission building; anywhere along the long, semicircular driveway between Orr Hockey Rink and South Pleasant Street/Route 116; in the Orr Hockey Rink lot at the south entrance of the driveway; or on Hitchcock Road, running perpendicular to South Pleasant Street/Route 116 directly across from the south entrance of the driveway. On particularly busy days, should all those areas be full, additional parking may be found in the lot behind Alumni House. Upon exiting our semicircular driveway, turn right onto South Pleasant Street/Route 116, proceed to the traffic light, turn right onto College Street/Route 9, take the first left turn onto Seelye Street and proceed to the parking lot on your left. From the Alumni House parking lot, the Office of Admission is a ten-minute walk across campus. (If you should receive a parking ticket while parked on the Amherst College campus, please bring it to the Admission receptionist and we will take care of it for you!)

Led by an admission director and a current student, info sessions provide a comprehensive overview of Northwestern and its undergraduate schools, student and residential life, career and experiential learning opportunities, and the application process. Campus tours feature full-length walking tours of campus filmed with a student tour guide. During both events, students and staff will be available via live chat to answer questions.

That’s why we host a regular suite of virtual visit programs: to provide an insider’s look at what it’s like to be here in person, no matter what corner of the world you’re in! Talk directly with current students for answers to all your questions, experience the energy of our campus and get a feel for the community that one day you may call home.

Can't travel to campus? We'll bring the University of Richmond to you! Join us for virtual events designed for prospective students. *All events take place in the EDT time zone.

Our live virtual information session will provide you an overview of the facts and figures you need to know about Richmond. The information session will last approximately 30 minutes, followed by a live Q&A with the presenter. To give you a great sense for the Spider experience, this session is hosted by a current student ambassador.

Info sessions are hosted by admission staff and current students. Topical sessions on academics, student life and more are hosted by faculty, staff and students who are experts in those topics.

AWE provides a unique opportunity for prospective students to explore Wellesley and connect with our community members—faculty, staff, and current students—while learning about community and belonging on campus. Additionally, prospective students will spend time in sessions discussing selective admission, affordability, the liberal arts and sciences, and so much more. We hope that students leave AWE with even more resources and confidence as they navigate the college admission process.

This is a drive-in program, meaning that students accepted to AWE will come to campus, participate in the program, and head back home all on the same day. Wellesley will coordinate and cover all travel costs for those admitted to and attend AWE. AWE was specifically designed to address the challenges of accessing a college education. We’ll focus on personalized guidance, interactive sessions, and community engagement during AWE; aiming to empower students as they move forward and achieve their educational goals.

Admission representatives from schools across the country are all gathered in one place. Their goal: To encourage you to learn more about their institutions, and help you sort through the qualities you’re looking for in a college.

Use your visit to:

Explore your options. Each fair draws representatives from 175 to 400 colleges. The schools are located throughout the US, and from around the globe.

Ask questions. What’s college life like? What majors are popular on campus? Chatting with representatives from a variety of colleges can help you cement your own preferences.

Gather information. Pick up brochures and other materials about the schools that interest you. Ask admission reps to scan your barcode—an easy way to help colleges follow up with you after the fair.

Every visit is tailored around the group's availability. You can bring a maximum of 50 students. 

Virtual

Our virtual group visits are hosted on Adelphi University's Zoom Video Conferencing platform, which will be individualized for your visit. You do not need to download an application, or create an account to participate. Check out Zoom support if you'd like to learn more.

Alternative platforms are available upon request, if your district and/or school administration does not allow the use of Zoom for your students.

Since in-person capacities are not an issue virtually, we encourage you to bring as many students as you can!

Reservations will be held on a first-come, first-served basis. Our group visit requests typically reach capacity quickly each semester. We strongly encourage you to register for a visit at your earliest convenience to get priority booking.

All group visits begin at 11:00 a.m. ET and can last up to two and a half hours for all scheduled activities.

You are invited to attend an upcoming virtual counselor program with representatives from Colorado College, University of Chicago, California Institute of Technology, Vanderbilt University, and Yale University. Representatives will share information about their respective schools and the QuestBridge organization, which allows high-achieving, low-income students from U.S. high schools to match with the top colleges around the country.

Attending a virtual session is a great way to learn more about these schools, but it won't affect students chances of admission if they choose to apply to any of them.

we're launching our Explore Engineering virtual talk series at Oregon State University.

This series includes two exciting opportunities for students to explore engineering at OSU running from 9/26 - 10/18:

Explore Engineering Majors
Students can join sessions focused on specific engineering disciplines, such as Mechanical Engineering, to hear directly from current students about what each major entails, the types of problems they solve, and the career paths they lead to. It’s a great way to get a real feel for the major from those living it every day.

Explore Engineering Communities
These sessions highlight student organizations and community-based groups that support underserved and underrepresented students in STEM. Students will learn how these groups have contributed to building a sense of belonging, mentorship, and support within the College of Engineering. Sessions are open to all interested students.

All sessions are led by current engineering students, making them a great way for prospective students to connect with peers and ask questions about campus life, classes, clubs, and more.

October is a natural time for students to reflect on their goals — and to seek experiences that prepare them for what’s next. The Georgetown University Pre-College Online Program gives motivated high school students the chance to explore career paths while strengthening their academic foundation.

Students can choose from enrichment courses in fields such as business, law, medicine, international relations, and more. These courses are guided by expert faculty and supported by mentors who encourage students.

In addition, select college credit courses allow students to earn credit while working with Georgetown faculty, supported by teaching assistants (TAs) who provide academic support.

Highlights include:

• Courses taught by Georgetown faculty across multiple fields.

• Support through mentors in enrichment courses and TAs in credit courses.

• A structure that connects high school learning to long-term goals.

Members of the Teen Advisory Council will:

• Meet UCLA junior and senior faculty for mentorship and internship opportunities and to learn about career paths in neuroscience and related fields

• Help create a community of like-minded young people interested in mental health and neuroscience

• Be advocates for mental health and ambassadors for Friends of Semel and UCLA neuroscience
  
  

• Help spread the word in schools and communities about the free and virtual Open Mind community lecture and film series that brings together thought leaders in science and culture for meaningful and relevant discussions about mental health issues and about the Open Mind Film Festival for high school students

• Promote mental wellness in schools, communities, and on social media to help raise awareness of mental health issues unique to Gen Z's and erase the stigma of mental illness

• Advise the Board of The Friends on programming about mental health issues important to Gen Z's and share unique experiences and challenges in a supportive environment

• Create an Open Mind program "by teens and for teens”

Transfer Open House

Recently admitted and prospective transfer students are invited to join us for Transfer Open House!

Campus representatives will be available to answer your questions about UCSB student life, housing, support services and academics. Attend presentations, student panels, and take a guided campus tour to explore your new home! Decide if you wish to attend presentations, and/or a UCSB resource fair. In addition, the Office of Admission staff will be available to offer guidance on steps to enrollment requirements and tasks.

Virtual Transfer Open House

If you can't make it to campus for our in-person Transfer Open House, join us for a virtual experience to still learn about all of the amazing opportunities and experiences you will have as a UCSB Gaucho.

From August 1—November 30, 2026, community college students who graduated or left high school in 2026 will be able to enter a TSP agreement with a specific CSU campus for a specific major. Transfer-eligible students are guaranteed admission to the campus and the major they specified if the requirements of the agreement are met within three years.

The TSP provides greater access to California Community College students by defining the transfer goal early, facilitating greater support from the CSU to these students, and holding a place in the major of their choice at the campus of their choice.

Students enrolling in a California community college this fall could be eligible for a dual admission program to the California State University.

The Transfer Success Pathway (TSP) program is designed to increase access to any of the CSU’s 22 universities. If academic, financial or personal hardships prevented you from attending the CSU in the past, this program could help you earn your degree at the CSU.

You are eligible for the TSP program if you are enrolling in a California Community College and have not earned any college credit since completing high school or earning a GED.

• ​If you are taking college courses in the summer immediately following your high school graduation, you’re still eligible for TSP.

• If you have taken dual enrollment coursework while in high school, you’re still eligible for TSP.

Eligible students can apply to the program to:

• Enter into an agreement with the CSU and receive guaranteed admission to the degree program and campus of your choice. Please note:
  

  • You must meet all TSP requirements within three years.

  • Available degree programs vary by each CSU.

• Receive personalized guidance from CSU representatives to create an educational plan that will help you transfer in three years or less.

• Map out your coursework using the CSU Transfer Planner portal to ensure you’re on track to earning your degree.

Participants are responsible for their own transportation. Oberlin will provide shuttles to and from the Cleveland airport as well as meals and accommodations during the program.

Program Description

Oberlin’s five-year BA+BFA lets you dive into the art forms you love most — cinema, theater, dance, music, studio art, or creative writing — while also exploring how they connect with each other and the full spectrum of your academic interests. This overnight program includes special opportunities to learn more about the BA+BFA, engage with current students and faculty, and gain insight on how to prepare a portfolio for the BA+BFA application. This program is not intended for students planning to apply to the Conservatory of Music, including the Music Theater program.

Participants are responsible for their own transportation. Oberlin will provide shuttles to and from the Cleveland airport as well as meals and accommodations during the program.
