He had many relationships, and even a few children</strong></p><p><strong>4. He lived for 50 years.</strong></p><p><strong>5. He made his pilgrimage to Mecca when he was 21.</strong></p><p><strong>6. He documented his adventures in his book Rihla.</strong></p><p><strong>7. He was born in Morocco.</strong></p><p><strong>8. During his travel, he was robbed by bandits and was left running with nothing but his clothes.</strong></p><p><strong>9. He survived by begging generous Muslims to stay in their houses and eat.</strong></p><p><strong>10. Historians don't believe that he actually traveled the places he documented in Rihla.</strong></p><p><br/></p><p><br/></p>]]></description>

The wealthy ate meat as it was quite a commodity.</strong></p><p><strong>6. Haram means forbidden and halal means allowed.</strong></p><p><strong>7. Muslims used head coverings to protect themselves from the sun.</strong></p><p><strong>8 Schooling had five subjects-astrology, Greek, math, philosophy, and Qu'ran.</strong></p><p><strong>9. Nomads never stayed in one place.</strong></p><p><strong>10. Rugs were the most common piece of furniture.</strong></p>]]></description>

Some Muslims like the elderly, pregnant, and diabetic are excused from fasting.</strong></p><p><strong>10. In order to enter a mosque, you must take off your shoes.</strong></p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<ol><li><p>Mecca is where Muhammad, Allah's prophet was born.</p></li><li><p>Medina is where Muhammad traveled outside of Mecca and eventually became the capital.</p></li><li><p>Damascus fell to the Arabs and became the new capital.</p></li><li><p>Baghdad was the city that the Abbasids made the capital during their rule.</p></li><li><p>Cairo was an Egyption city that was the center of the rule in the Islamic Empire when the Mongols sacked Baghdad.</p></li><li><p>Constantinople took the role of the Islamic Caliphate when Cairo was capital.</p></li><li><p>Cordoba was a Spanish city that expanded the Islamic influence.</p></li><li><p>Baghdad rose to be one of the most populous cities in the 9th century.</p></li><li><p>Cordoba was retook by the Spanish in the 13th century.</p></li><li><p>Medina is known as the city of the prophet.</p></li></ol>]]></description>
