If you look closely, you can see how they are similar to giraffes with their long, dark tongues and large, upright ears. They are very difficult to find, mainly because they run from humans that they hear coming. This means researchers can only guess how many there are.

An Okapi is a magnificent and Mysterious animal. Although it looks like a Zebra it is related to the giraffe because if you look it has the same long tongue a giraffe has to eat it's food. You see Okapi's in the zoo thinking that they are easy to get but no they are hard to catch because their hearing like a giraffe warns them when a predator is near and actually nobody knew about an Okapi until the 1900's and know there are about 25,000 out there.
