There are three main things that make people happy: first is close relationships, second is a job or past-time that they love to do and third is helping others. one thing that you need to know is that money and material things don’t always give you happiness, and people who think they need them are less happy than those who don’t.

Despite most everyone thinking that winning the lottery would make all their dreams come true, it turns out that many lottery winners end up worse off than they did before they were rich. It's a combination of not knowing how to deal with their sudden new wealth, and making bad choices with how they end up spending their money. Gatsby made bad decisions spending his money when he threw lavish parties in an attempt to find Daisy again.

A lot of people believe that having more money can make you happy but in reality it doesn't. if you would ask people who has a lot of money if they're happy they would probably tell you "no" because if they see something they want at the store that is a lot of money they could just buy it compared to someone who doesn't have a lot of money and want the same thing they would work and save money for it's more satisfying and they're a lot more happy because they finally got the thing they wanted

Do you really need an expensive toy, just to have it?

3: Know who your real friends are. Real friends probably won't badger you for money after you suddenly get rich.

4: Don't suddenly start spending all your cash! If you didn't do it before, don't do it now.
