CELT designed a short need-assessment survey for faculty and staff, and collected 76 responses. 10% used it regularly, 25% used it occasionally, 29% tested it out, 33% heard about it but never used it, and 3% did not know it.

We also learned that faculty agree Generative AI can be effectively used in the classroom, and more AI-related academic integrity cases will rise. Faculty also realized the need to revise their existing writing assignments.

AI focus: With an appropriate funding source, we envision using a generative AI model (i.e., GPT) to create an AI Instructional Design (ID) assistant.
