Text to self: When O’Brien turned away when Steve was found innocent, she seemed embarrassed. As if she was sorry that all this time she thought he was guilty. I sometimes feel that way, when I accuse someone of doing something wrong, when they actually didn’t do anything. One time, I got really mad at my friend because I thought she took my phone and didn’t give it back, but it was actually in my locker.

Briggs started as one of the defenses closing argument. He blamed Bobo and potentially Osvaldo for committing the crime. He says that Lorelle Henry’s testimony shouldn’t be taken too seriously, because when she identified King as the man guilty, she was actually pointing at the man shown in the pictures took by the police. In O’Brien’s argument, she attacked the testifiers caracters and why they shouldn’t be trusted. The prosecutor said that Briggs theory’s wasn’t correct. She thinks that King and Bobk entered the drugstore after Steve gave them the signal to do so. The final decision that the jury took was that King is guilty and Steve is not. O’Brien seem embaressed and disappointed in herself for believing in Steve’s guilt.
