What it is?
Creating an image using a small hole. The light in the box reflects in the object which goes in all directions. It's produced by light which goes trough the shape of the diameter.

What effect it has?
You never know what it's going to be the final shot.
The biggest the hole the less sharper the image will be and a very small pinhole will create a very sharp image but no as sharp as a camera.
To create a panoramic images we can use an object with several holes or its curved.

How is it done?
You can create a pinhole camera with any objects of any size as a: can, matchbox,... with materials which does different type of light sensitive. The only concern about the object you are using  it's that you used a closed device.

Inside
1.Take 1 hard board (A5 size)
2. With a pencil draw 2 diagonal lines to find the centre
3. Drill the hole
4. Place a strip of black aluminium foil over the holeand tape down on the inside of the box, and use a thin pin to poke a hole in the center of the foil from the outside of the box.
5. Leave a space on one piece of the paper to put a loose paper. The reason is to be able to open and close when wished while capturing the image.
6. Measure 5 side panels to have an equal square
7.Stick them on the  side with glue

Outside
8. Cut piece of paper and stick with gaffa tape on the 4 sides of the drill hole
9.Stick the sides of the box again above with gaffa type
10. Do the lid with any material you wish. The only condition is that no light must go through the sides.

11. Put a sensitive paper in the box, opposite to the hole. The glossy part must be facing the hole. Make sure the hole is covered by a black paper.
12. Put the pinhole by a window.
13. Remove the piece of paper covering the hole.
14. Leave it exposed for the amount of time chosen.
15. Cover the hole back with the black piece of paper
16. Go in the Darkroom.


Darkroom

17. In the dark, Remove the photo sensitive paper
18. What didn't work?
- The first time, I went in the college garden's,  I tried to capture an image of the tree it didn't work as the camera was directed straight towards the sun and was exposed to long towards it.

- For the second image, I went near a window,  I have tilt it of about 45 degrees towards the floor. As I prevented the sun o go through, I think it's the reason why only a black point as turned up.

What went well?
