A. Learning analytics can help instructors identify students who work at a lower level or pace
B. Learning analytics can help instructors identify what topics they need to revisit or can move on from, determining class mastery or confusion.
C. Learning analytics can help teachers customize instruction to student needs, thus allowing student to perform better and more efficiently
D. Learning analytics can help teachers predict future student performance
E. Teachers can intervene when students are struggling or add content when students have demonstrated mastery.
F. Vision: Every major corporation has some sort of slogan or phrase that encompasses that they are striving to obtain. For this group of awe-inspiring words did not just fall from the sky onto the board table and everyone liked it; the selection of a vision is a painstaking process. A lot this process is derived by looking at data collected about your consumer. In education we have two consumers, the student and the World they will go out into upon graduation. As educational institutes, it is imperative that we have visions that match our students and the World around us. For example the Office if Ed Tech for the Department of Education recently released the updated National Education Technology Plan for K-12 Education. This plan has been altered to stress that students should yes use technology but in more engaging and enhanced ways. In addition Colleges and Universities often reach out the local workforce to gain a greater understanding of what the job needs are and how the institution can bridge that gap with the degrees they offer.
