-The Greasers are the name of the gang of the kids who are poor.
-The socs is the name of the gang of the kids who are rich.
-The socs are very physical towards the greasers.
- Darry is leader of the Greasers.
- Pony boys is upset with how controlling Darry is and runs away.
Chapter 3:
- Johnny gets beat up by the socs.
Chapter 4: 
- Blue Mustang comes back to find the greasers in the park.
- Socs come out and try to scare and beat up the greasers. 
- Eventually, they were going to kill the greasers by drowning Pony boy and stabbing Johnny,
- When Pony boy was getting drowned, Johnny killed Bob who was a soc with a blade.
- Dally helps Johnny and Ponyboy run away before the police come
- Escape on a train to the country and get off and walk to Jay Mountain to an abandon church where they sleep. While sleeping Johnny went to grab some supplies. 
Chapter 5:
- The greasers cut their hair because they do not want to be noticed by the police
- Johnny bleaches Ponyboy's hair as a disguise
-The boys fight about the situation and start crying
- They kill time by reading "Gone with the Wind" together and playing poker
- fuzz are police
- ponyboy gets sick from smoking ad not eating
- Dally comes to the church to check up on the boys and takes them out to eat
- when dally is there he gives Ponyboy a not from Soda
- Dally talks about how it is warfare in town with the socs and then greasers
- Tim Shephard's gang and the greasers are are going to have it out with the socs in the vacant lot
- Two-Bit got jumped recently 
- If the Socs win the fight things go on as usual but if the Greasers win the Socs have to stay out of their territory
- the greasers got Cherry as a spy
- Johnny wants to turn himself in so they travel back to town to turn him and Pony into the cops
- as they are driving away they look back and the church is on fire. Dally tells them to not worry about it but Johnny and Ponyboy hop out of the car Dally stays back cussing them out. They go up to the church and kids were having a class picnic there. four or five kids were missing and were in the church. Johnny and ponyboy break a window and hop through it to save them.
- All three boys are in ambulances
- Dally was burned on his harm while trying to help Johnny out but he should be okay
- Johnny is in bad conditions for a piece of timber caught him and he may have broken his back. He also has serious burns. 
- Johnny gets given plasma which helps to make blood
- they get to hospital
- ponyboy only has burns and bruises but is alright
- Soda and darry come to the hospital to see pony and the boys
- Darry was crying when he saw that ponyboy was okay
chapter 7:
- Reporters are at the hospital interviewing everybody 
- dally is going to be okay within two or three days but will have bad scars from burns on his arm for the rest of his life
- dally will have full use of arm within a couple of weeks

- Johnny gets beat up by Socs who were in a blue mustang.
- As the greasers were walking down the street with the girls who were socs, a little while later the same blue mustang passed by, they tried to stay as still as possible and it worked because the mustang passed right by them.
Chapter 4: Johnny killed Bob who was a soc to save Pony Boy and his own life.
