The three functions are pumping blood, breathing, and protecting internal organs. we have more than 600 muscles in our body. the three types of muscles are cardiac, smooth, and skeletal some examples are your heart which is a cardiac muscle, the stomach which is a smooth muscle, and your triceps which is an example of a skeletal muscle. voluntary muscles are muscle you can control. involuntary muscle are muscle you can not control. I learned that our muscle work really hard and that glycogen is sugar of the muscle. the glycogen was braking up into small little pieces which caused muscle fatigue.

We took the temperature of the water then the washers. then we put the washers into the water. after that we observed the changes it did to the temperature. the results of the experiment were the metal washers changed from 80 to 89 degrees, the water in the control cup changed from 113 to 103 degrees, and the water in our cup changed from 113 to 101 degrees. for the hot water and the room temp. washer we did almost the same thing but with hot water and room temp. washers. the temperature in our cup was 75 degrees, the water in the control cup was 75 degrees, and the metal washers were 92 then we measured after the experiment. the results were 89 degrees for the our cup, 71 degrees for the temperature in the control cup, and 80 for the temperature of the metal washers. I think that the heat from the water transferred over to the washer and the washers heat transferred over to the water.
