This island also happens to be in the “Ring of Fire.” There are active volcanoes on this island. This island is located near plate boundaries where earthquakes are a danger. The island is surrounded by an ocean, so large waves from tsunamis and floods from major storms are possible. People need a place to live that will keep them and their family safe. You must design a structure that will keep them and their family safe from any possible volcanos, earthquakes, tsunamis, and floods.Criteria & Constraints: 1. You will research the best possible structure for different natural processes to help design a safe place to live.2. The structure must be able to withstand small earthquakes.3. The structure must be able to withstand volcanoes.4. The structure must be able to withstand large waves and flooding from tsunamis.5. Your structure must be above ground and it cannot be taped or glued to a desk, the floor, etc. Your model must be no larger than one square foot.6. The structure must be able to keep humans safe as they wait for the disaster to end.7. You must effectively and respectfully collaborate with your group. We made it a triangle because it is a strong shape and ash  will from a volcano will have no where to settle.  We new that a door and window would be hard so we used a sharpie so there will be no problem.
