This is a brief instruction about how to use a drill safely. There are two stages. The first stage is to prepare a drill and the second stage is to drill safely.

In the first stages, you need to remember 7 steps. Firstly, you need to wear safety clothing and eye protection that protect you from flying dust and debris. In step two, remember to wear ear protection if you drill regularly because a handheld electric drill can cause hearing damage after prolonged exposure. The third step is that you should protect your lungs from flying debris or dust, you need to wear breathing protection such as respirator regularly. Next, choose the correct drill bit or it can cause the bit or the material you’re drilling to break. Moreover, don’t forget to fit the drill bit firmly into the chuck before you turn on the drill. Let’s make sure the bit straight and secure. After that, clamp small pieces together as the drill could slip and injure you. The final thing you should remember is that you must handle the cord safely, don’t pick up the drill by the cord. 

  In the second stage, you need to remember 5 steps. Firstly, you should drill a pilot hole because it will help prevent your drill bit from slipping, and reduce the chance of splitting wood or other damage. Secondly, drill with steady pressure, you must hold the drill steady and push it into the material you’re drilling. Thirdly, usually adjust the clutch. Look at a series of numbers on drill, you can lower or higher the torque. Besides, avoid overheating the drill bit, by sticking to low speeds and pausing occasionally to give the bit a few seconds to cool down. Finally, don’t force a jammed bit through, let’s unplug the drill, separate the bit and the chuck,  and remove the bit using manual tools.

It has lots of features. Firstly, it helps examine the designs for any structural weaknesses. Secondly, the users can isolate any problems and improve them before physical designs are made. Besides, it has some advantages. The first advantage of SolidWorks 2018 is that it helps the users save money for creating prototypes and testing. Another advantage is that it is very cheap and students can get discounts. However, it has some cons. For example, The users have to spend a few thousand dollars a year for the subscription, and it is not available on Mac. In conclusion, I think it is a relatively low-cost advanced CAD program and it’s also very suitable for students.

Imagine that you are a mechanical engineer. Think of a device or machine that uses alternative energy to protect the environment.
    As a Mechanical engineer, you should not only care about your job but also try to help save the environment. Here are what you can do to protect our planet. First and Foremost, you need to find suitable fuel for engines such as biofuel, or CNG because which emits fewer pollutants than fossil fuel like gasoline and diesel. Secondly, use of solar panels for electric generation as much as possible. It is completely clean and doesn’t emit greenhouse gases. Last but not least, please walk or use public transport. That would help the environment.

Compose a paragraph (120-140 words) about what a mechanical engineer can do to help save the planet Earth.
The machine I’d like to talk about is future car using Solar energy. Its mechanism is that solar energy will be extracted through Energy is focused with a mirror to form thermal energy which will heat water into steam. Steam turns a turbine connected to a generator to convert the mechanical energy into electrical energy. This energy has many benefits. Firstly, it produces no direct carbon dioxide or other greenhouse gases that can warm the climate. Moreover, it can be use for diverse purpose or solar thermal. Furthermore, it is free, abundant, and renewable. Last but not least, it doesn’t require a lot of maintenance. However, it has some cons. The first con is that it isn’t a great option everywhere or all of the time.  Another drawback is that building a large concentrated solar power plant or install solar panels is expensive. In conclusion, the price for it is quite high at present, I believe it is worth your spending.
