Locally Made

to keep pricing at a competitive rate and costs down, Jordan needs to stay whanau focus and locally made. by using her family based business bringing back the dollar to the product than over committing on the overheads say i.e buying glass 1.40 upwards per bottle vs plastic 5c per bottle. carry no real reason as to the why, paying another person rent when you have been given a place for half the rent/lease at this given time. which then gives this product room to be placed on competitive pricing, not needing to cover overheads as the bigger companies have to.

I believe that one competitive advantage is that a lot of health drinks similar to this are assumed/ pushed more towards adults rather then a younger age but hers is for all ages as she wants this for her kids, age 4 + 6, to replace fizzy.

The competitive advantage that I keep coming back to is that this Kombucha drink is made it in the community for the community. To remain competitive over the long term I believe she should start approaching local businesses to enquire if they can stock her product. This way her product is out in the community in varying shops and being seen by local, regular and new customers.

Jordan has many competitive advantages. A lot of these are small but when added up they can have a really big impact. Jordan has the support of her whanau and community in many aspects of the business. From her brother designing the labels to her connections with the rugby club and farmers market. Jordan is able to get her product across while educating people at the same time. Jordan has had feedback from samplers and is going to create new flavours. This will give her customers more variety and enhance sales.
