How did the purchase impact the migration of people?

The purchase severely impacted migration, for starters it ignited the Lewis and Clark expedition which cleared a way across the new land by discovering what the territory consists of geographically, wildlife, and the indian tribes. Along with creating the first ever maps and names of rivers and mountains while making their journey in also hopes of finding a Northwest passage which they were unsuccessful at, and sucha passage was not created until 1914. The Louisiana purchase encouraged settlers to move out west, and leave the now very populated states in search of land and wealth. This also gave them a place though to try and relocate the indian tribes in hopes of taking their land.
