Aubrey and Jack are still buddy buddy to each other and seem to have matured a lot into adults instead of just kids. Somewhat like a new chapter in their life. Dan is still grieving over his mom's passing, but still is rocking with Laura. Laura started off as a terrorist and is now a good friend of Jack and Aubrey.

I think the overall message was that there is good and evil in the world. Like a teenager that gets in trouble or something along those lines and instead of helping they punish you. Like when the kids get a power, the government takes them, instead of letting them live their odd life.

One of the biggest things I noticed was that citizens are afraid of the outside world . If you are a lambda and you are a teen, the government will take you to use your powers to destroy the bad lambdas. 
There is also a lot of paranoia obviously because of all of the chaos that is going on outside.

The beginning when the kids individual see their own power is a call to adventure. The threshold part when the kids realize their powers and are shocked about it. When they find out they are also lambdas, it is like a rebirth in a way when they all tell each other their powers.

There is a lot of person Freedom in a way. They have a lot of freedom, but are also under control. They seem to have freedom because they're parents are only vaguely portrayed in the story. They also have little freedom because the government is on their tail all the time.

Jack I would say is the overall main character. He has a very planned out strategy to everything it seems like. It also seems like he was a "mommy's boy" because he has a big heart. He was uncomfortable not around his group of friends and was scared he might not find them. He showed he cared about them and wanted them to be safe.

I picked this because he always is looking out for his people.

The main theme topic would be Good vs. Evil. The four friends and the army are trying to destroy this creature, however they can not get it. The force is too strong for any of our equipment. The four friends try to use their powers against it. Barley phased the beast. Now Jack and his friends are going to try and save humanity.

This novel actually has a lot of bad in it. The fantasy of it all is the superpowers these kids were granted. Nothing has resembled anything from our world today as realistic. The characters also joke around a lot for humor.

It is somewhat similar to the Midwest it seems like. I say this because there are some waterfalls, rivers, creeks, barns and many other things that we have around here. In my opinion, this book would make a very good video game. I say this because of all of the action and shooting that happens. A lot of gamers enjoy a story-line too, this would be a good one.
