The apple stands as a symbol for the relationship and trust that is shared between teachers and students.

Great teachers are “chill.” A great teacher doesn’t take themselves too seriously. Terronez found that many students like a teacher who is calm in all situations and doesn’t get overwhelmed easily.

Great teachers think like kids but act like adults. Students often want teachers to think like them and to be able to understand what their thoughts are like and how they’re feeling. Students often convey their feelings to adults in subtle ways, and great teachers are able to pick up on that.

Great teachers love to teach and learn.Students like to see their teachers learn in front of them. A teacher who demonstrates the journey that is learning is valuable to students.

Great teachers connect learning to real life. Terronez found that great teachers don’t just live in their classrooms, they’re out in the world! Students appreciate teachers who demonstrate their knowledge in a way that resonates and makes sense to students.

Great teachers understand that students have a life outside of school.Every student experiences their own set of struggles and adversities outside of the classroom, and great teachers acknowledge those problems.

Great teachers help students if they notice a struggle.Great teachers don’t assume the ability of their students.

Dewi Tania
1911040058
2G/PBI

1. What environmental problems are facing your country (sarah/england)

one of the main issues would definitely be air pollution. There's so many airports here, so every day there's thousands of flights coming in and out of our air space causing a lot of pollution. And also, cars. I would say most people here own a car or even some families have multiple cars between them. So I think there's a lot of air pollution from how much transportation that we do use in England.

Also, another big problem right now would be littering. Either waste and rubbish isn't disposal properly, or people just leave it out in the street and it's very dirty and obviously causing a lot of problems for the environment in England.

2.Do you prefer shopping in a mall or online (sarah/Denmark)

i usually do my shopping online simply because I find it easier to find the things I need. So it saves time, it's less stressful and you can usually find the things cheaper. On the other hand, I do like shopping in the mall as well, especially if you go with a friend, boyfriend, girlfriend, family member, because it can just be such a fun way to spend the time together, especially if you go into some fun stores and you can browse through items together, have a good laugh, and you do definitely get some inspiration of things that you wouldn't have necessarily thought of, so it's a good way of expanding your horizon.

But yeah, so for browsing and experience, I'd say the mall, for actual buying things, I usually shop online.

Dewi Tania
2G/PBI
1911040058

1). analyzing the problem that u got when u do listening activities so far

The evidence that shows why listening is difficult comes mainly from four sources:
the message to be listened to, the speaker, the listener, and the physical setting.
The Message
Content. Many learners find it more difficult to listen to a taped message than to read
the same message on a piece of paper, since the listening passage comes into the ear
The content is usually not well organized.
In many cases listeners cannot predict what speakers are going to say, whether it is a
news report on the radio, an interviewer’s questions, an everyday conversation, etc.
Messages on the radio or recorded on tape cannot be listened to at a slower speed.
Even in conversation it is impossible to ask the speaker to repeat something as many
times as the interlocutor might like.

2). analyzing the listening strategies u use when u have listening activities.

If you are an auditory learner, you learn by hearing and listening. You understand and remember things you have heard. You store information by the way it sounds, and you have an easier time understanding spoken instructions than written ones. You often learn by reading out loud because you have to hear it or speak it in order to know it.

As an auditory learner, you probably hum or talk to yourself or others if you become bored. People may think you are not paying attention, even though you may be hearing and understanding everything being said.

Here are some things that auditory learners like you can do to learn better.

Sit where you can hear.
Have your hearing checked on a regular basis.
Use flashcards to learn new words; read them out loud.
Read stories, assignments, or directions out loud.
Record yourself spelling words and then listen to the recording.
Have test questions read to you out loud.
Study new material by reading it out loud.
