  • Higher rates of patient safety and positive patient outcomes will be seen when there is a team that is effective and high performing.
  • Communication styles and skills can be adapted to support good team work which will help the health care team stay flexible and be able to accommodate increasing patient loads and less staff. 
  • Good communication will meet the needs of the team for maintaining good team trust and morale, but more important is the relationship between good communication and patient safety.
