Alphabet Soup book paired with letter manipulatives. Child could scoop letters out of sensory bin that match ones in the book. Then they could blend sounds together or even have them spell their name with the letters.

Have the target letters-magnet letters- in a baggie or box that he designs. Have him do daily drills naming the letters and sounds with diminished support until he is able to do the drills with a peer.

Also have the letters in his name in a separate container and he must pull out the letters and put them in order saying the letter sound as he places each letter and then he copies his name on a paper with various colors, maybe a color that goes with a letter or sound in his name.

Read book with students (chicka chicka boom boom, etc.,) while highlighting target letters and sounds, can highlight letter of students first name, then do a hands on follow up activity with manipulatives (letter magnets, make a tree and shake the letters off). Can segment and blend letters during this activity. Have students practice writing name or picking out letter that starts with the initial letter of their name.
