  • he was introduced to music when his parents got him a guitar for his birthday, he also sang “old sheep” at a talent contest (where he won second place) (Woog, Adam)
  • his uncle taught him some simple chords on the guitar then he took it on his own hands and taught himself how to play the other chords (Woog, Adam)
  • at age 22 he had 5 number one spot songs including, “hound dog” and “don't be cruel” (Corrigan, Jim)
