Despite Jupiter's thoughts, Prometheus "stole" fire from Jupiter, and brought it back to man. He taught man many skills and brought them into a new Golden Age. Jupiter was angered by this, and wanted to punish Prometheus and mankind for this. He sent Pandora, gifted with beauty and curiosity, with a golden casket to Greece so she could be Epimetheus's wife. Athena warned Pandora not to open the casket. Her curiosity drowned Athena's words, and she released thousands of dark creatures when she opened it. The creatures brought sadness to mankind.
