People of the Jewish faith believe in things called beshert, or in other terms soulmates!

Soulmates are usually picked out by the parent (like Danny's sister in The Chosen) but can be found by other means. 

Even though a person is your beshert, doesent mean you will have a successful marriage!   • In traditional Judaism, death is never a tragedy, or even viewed as a negative event, no matter the circumstances. Death is accepted as another part of life really.

    • Some even see death as a possitive proccess, as they believe in a perfect, beautiful afterlife.

  • The traditional jewish ceremony consists of having the burial and funeral as soon as possible (like the day of the death or the day after.) Cremation is not an option in Judaism, only burial. 

    • Typically it is required by law to burry with a casket, but if not than Jews prefer not to be burried in a casket. If, however, they are required to be burried in a coffin, then they will construct a simple wooden casket, no metal whatsoever. 

    • The body is usually clothed in a white shroud (no street cloths) and no objects can be placed in the casket with the body.

    Their is very little written in the Torah about what the afterlife is like. Most is just speculation.

    The mothers of the groom and bride must break a plate together to symbolize the fragileness of a relationship.

    The groom must present the bride with a ring, usually made of gold, to symbolize the marriage itself
